Standard Core Rolls

POS and ATM receipt rolls on cores with ID 12–25.4 mm and finished OD 30–200 mm.

Preprinted Rolls

Inline flexo printing on the back (back printing) or face of the roll with printing registration accuracy of ±0.2 mm.

Coreless Rolls

8–15 mm coreless rolls with longer length per roll and no core waste. Core rolls can be produced on the same line.

Common Questions About POS Roll Lines

Can one line produce both core and coreless rolls?

Yes. The GPPE-Rollmaster coreless line produces 8–15 mm coreless rolls, and core rolls can be produced on the same line.

What paper weights can the lines handle?

The high-speed and preprinted POS roll lines handle thermal paper from 40 to 120 gsm; the coreless line handles 40 to 100 gsm.

How fast are the lines?

The high-speed line GP-FA1500-WP rewinds at up to 500 m/min with a 25-second cycle for 60 m rolls. The preprinted and coreless lines rewind at up to 300 m/min.

Can I print on the rolls?

Yes. Printing on the back of the roll (back printing) or on the face is done inline by flexo, with 1, 2 or more colors and up to 6 colors. The preprinted line GP-FA1100-WP-2C prints with registration accuracy of ±0.2 mm.

Can one line produce both POS receipt rolls and till rolls?

Yes. Till rolls are cash register rolls, the same product as POS receipt rolls. A GPPE POS line slits them to finished widths from 30 mm and rewinds them to finished diameters of 30–200 mm, on cores with ID 12–25.4 mm or coreless. See monthly capacity by machine width.

Are back printing, slitting and rewinding separate machines?

No. On a GPPE POS line, unwinding, slitting, rewinding, cutting, tail sealing, core and core-shaft loading, roll counting, conveying and packaging are standard functions of one line. Printing, including back printing, is an optional unit built into the same line.

Can the lines also convert bond (non-thermal) till rolls?

Yes. Besides thermal POS and cash register rolls, GPPE POS roll lines can slit and rewind non-thermal bond (offset paper) till rolls.
