Indonesia: High-Speed Thermal Paper Roll Packaging Line

In 2023, GPPE supplied a High-Speed Thermal Paper Roll Packaging Line (model GP-WP) to a customer in Indonesia. It has a maximum speed of 88 packs/min (1–5 rolls per pack), helping the customer's factory save 80% of labor.

How the Line Works

1. Slitting

   The servo-controlled slitter rewinder slits the jumbo roll into finished widths.

2. Gluing
3. Packaging

   Finished rolls are grouped and packed, ready for cartons.

GPPE pos & thermal paper roll lines are built for thermal paper roll converting plants: slitting and converting of cash register and label rolls for supermarkets, logistics, warehousing and local delivery. To configure a line like this one, GPPE engineers ask:

• Which machine width do you prefer for production: 650 mm, 1100 mm or 1500 mm?
• How many tons of cash register or POS rolls do you plan to convert per month on the new machine?
• Packaging style: POF transparent or black PE?
• Flexo printing: 1 color, 2 colors or more (max. 6 colors inline)?
